Limited information was found on this theater–further research is required. The Rex Theater was assumed to be a store-front theater. K. Laughlin was the only found owner of the theater. Research shows that it "occupied" a building on West 1st Ave. (cross street unknown). The theater first appeared in papers on November 18th, 1920. It showed a variety of motion pictures, including the first Nationa Super-drama "Passion." The theater held interesting advertisements in the Tillamook Headlight, a local newspaper. Advertisements included outreach for "One Mule, Jackass, Donkey, or Burro for one day," and for "Boys to act part of Charlie Chaplin Saturday. Apply in costume... dress like Chaplin."
