The Pine Motor Theater was the first drive-in to open in Roseburg Oregon. It opened to a sold-out audience on June 1st, 1950 with a double feature of Walt Disney's Melody Time, and Claude Binyon's Family Honeymoon. The theater was an instant hit with the city, as cars lined the streets once capacity had been reached in order to catch a glimpse of the screen from outside. The pictures remained mostly similar to the family friendly films they opened with, appealing to a wide audience. They had a playground in operation until the seventies, ensuring parent's that seeing a movie could be a whole family affair.

The theaters ownership and practices remained the same for several decades. Radabaugh sold his share of the theater to Radabaugh at some point in the theater's lifespan. Steve Swanson describes several changes in its last few years, "After Mr. Hemmila passed away in 1983, the Pine Drive-In was leased to Vern & Nancy Jewell who ran it the last 3 years of operation. In the summer of 1987, the decision was made to close the drive-in. The final program was Beverly Hills Cop 2 with Crocodile Dundee on August 30th. Although a lot of the former staff came out to help on the last weekend. The ending was bittersweet as Vern Jewell passed away the week before. The property was divided into 3 lots, but the only new tenant is the New Life Christian Church. They have remodeled the snack bar into a teen center, the box office is now a storage shed."
